I would like to take the opportunity to welcome you to acquaint yourself with the Glyfada Christian Center, our exciting church home. I want to personally welcome you to our website, and ask you to make yourself known to us by contacting us before you leave the site. Please, ask your questions and let us help you to learn what you would like to know about the church.

This web page should help you to learn about the purpose and the mission of this church. It is our desire to be “a community of faith” in God, and a “community of worship” that comes together to glorify Jesus Christ.

Whether you are searching for a possible church home, or simply looking for a place to visit, we encourage you to discover the family that we have grown to love- the Glyfada Christian Center.

We welcome you. Thank you for finding us today, and hopefully in the future.

Our Father,

You are the eternal author of life. We are thankful for knowing you and being loved by you. We are aware of, and are grateful for your presence in the midst of these uncertain times. You are and have always been our refuge in times of crisis Lord, Your word teaches us:

“Call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me”

So we call on you for our hurting world today:
  • We bring before you all the sick and affected and ask for healing and comfort.
  • We intercede for those who are suffering so many ways.
  • We pray comfort to those who are grieving, those who need to be quarantined, feeling lonely, who can’t even touch or hug anyone in this time of need. May they become aware of your embrace and love wherever they may be.
  • We pray for wisdom and insight for medical practitioners and researchers, strength to all nurses and those serving others in this extreme time of strain.
  • Prudence for all the politicians and those giving guidance to nations.
  • Courage and compassion for your church to shine your light at this time.
  • We pray for all who panic, who are overwhelmed with fear, for peace to reign at this time.
  • We pray for all who have had great material damage and loss – may they turn to You and trust You to be their provision in the midst of this crisis. May this be a moment in history where many will turn to your mercy and grace.

Lord, Jesus, you traveled through towns and villages “curing every disease and illness.” At your command, the sick were made well. We petition your grace to come to our aid that we may experience your healing power. Use your people to manifest your power and goodness wherever we may be. Fill our hearts with your compassion and courage. We pray that this pandemic will subside, and that we all can return to normality – thankful for health, and life as a gift from your hand.

Lord, may your glory be manifest in this moment of our human history!

In your name we pray Lord Jesus,

Amen
